STUDENT REVIEWS:

Here’s what other students are saying about the class:

I really would recommend so many people to take your class because it will genuinely unlock the fretboard.
— Chris H.

After the class, I feel like I have a map to help me move forward.
— John F.

I thought it would take years to get this kind of understanding. I thought it was going to be just theory, but it is also really practical. I really enjoyed it. Definitely got my money’s worth.
— Brice

Now I’m in the conversation that I might not have been in before, because by the time I had figured it out, the conversation would have moved on.
— Tim C.

What I like about the classroom setting is that you’re able to feel like you’re part of a group. Sometimes people ask questions that you wouldn’t think to ask, and the experience of doing something in community brings a flavor that you wouldn’t get in private lessons.
— Tudor W.

It catapulted me. The things that you take from this class will lead you to be able to figure out anything in any key and be proficient at it. Once you learn how to learn, you can learn anything. So, this is a really good tool to teach someone how to teach themselves.
— Joey B.

There is more to the guitar than just shapes and tablature.

If you’re anything like most guitar players, the shapes and patterns that you play have gotten stale, and you don’t know how to break through to the next level. This 8 week class is going to take you past seeing the fretboard in shapes to seeing the fretboard for what it really is: a limitless platform for your fearless musical expression. Don’t let 2023 be another year that you feel trapped by your lack of knowledge of the instrument. It’s time to make a change and become fearless on the fretboard!

Most music teachers talk about

their qualifications as a player. I happen to be a great player, but the reason you should study with me is that I am a passionate teacher. I possess the ability to clearly communicate complex musical concepts, I am patient and compassionate, and I have a strong vision for the growth of each of my students within the context of their interests.

A Little About Me,

I wanted to learn how to play the guitar when I was 12 because my dad played guitar and, well... every 12 year old wants to be like their dad. In high school, I played in church and fronted a hardcore band. I studied Classical Guitar at Moorpark College and went on to receive a Bachelor's in Jazz Studies from CSUN in 2016. I’ve taught hundreds of students in private lessons over the past 17 years. I’ve recorded guitar on film scores, debuted original music at historic jazz venues, and toured to Seattle and back with my original songs. But one thing remains consistent…

I Love Teaching.

I love watching my students grow. I love giving to them what I have been given. I love discussing all the lessons music has to teach us about life and discipline. It brings me so much joy to introduce my students to this treasure trove, and to see what they discover for themselves.

Now I’d love to hear a bit about you.
